Greyton Toad Hall

Description

Toad Hall was built in 1855 and still retains many of the charms of houses of this era with its thatched roof and gables. It also boasts the largest pool in Greyton -that we know of!! A wood fired hot tub adjoins the 10m by 5m sunny salt water pool replete with its own hand painted toad.

Our stoep is famous for watching the activities of the town – being right in the centre of town you couldn’t pick a better place to have a gin and tonic and watch the horses (sometimes the cows) amble by and people watch.

The 2000 square metre garden has great views of the mountains and there is both a gas and a wooden braai as well as a wood fired pizza oven. If you are into smoking your food, the wood braai has a smoker attachment.
All restaurants and bars are within a 5 minute stroll – feel free to do takeaway and enjoy it in the garden or on the stoep.
The location is quiet and all dwellings are accessible via the garden gate so you can come and go as you please and all have their own separate entrances.

There is a choice of self catering should you wish- otherwise all rooms come with tea and coffee making facilities. There are no family suites.

The Facilities
Pool
Wood fired hot tub – on request (takes 7 hours to heat)
Gas braai, wood braai, pizza oven with plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy the view.
Cotton linen and bath and pool towels are provided.
In winter we provide electric blankets, heaters and throws.
Self catering has a fridge, kettle, two plate stove with small oven, toaster, coffee plunger, lots of useful utensils, pot and pans.
Wifi is fast and free and password can be found in your room.
One bag of wood is complimentary- more can be purchased on site.
No TV or air conditioner.

Accommodation rates and booking procedures
Self-catering – R1350 per night
En-suite rooms – R1200 per night
To secure booking 50% deposit required
Balance to be paid 3 days prior to arrival
Deposit fully refundable up to 7 days before arrival- other than that no return of deposit.
Restrictions
Minimum two nights
Pets are allowed…but only if they wont chase chickens as ours are free range!

All rooms are non smoking- please smoke in the garden/ stoep
There is no fence around the pool
