Enjoy tiny home living at this peaceful and centrally-located cottage. The Mouse House dates back to 1890 and has been lovingly renovated. It has a double volume thatch roof, a lounge including fireplace, a small kitchenette, a bathroom with rain shower and a loft bedroom with a queen XL bed. The cottage is at a stream with braai facilities and a seating area. If privacy and tranquility is your thing, this is the place to be in stunning Greyton.

The space
It’s a compact little house with a loft bedroom accessible by a loft ladder, 10 steps with hand rails. The bathroom is downstairs and has a shower, toilet and basin. The kitchen has a bar to sit at and a pod coffee machine (Nespresso machine), tea, milk and sugar is provided. There is crockery and cutlery for your use. There is a bar fridge underneath the counter. The lounge has a sleeper couch and some chairs. There is a blanket in the wooden chest. The cupboards are there for your clothes.The black foldable chairs can also be used outside. There is a ceiling fan combined with a light for the warmer days controlled by a remote that is on the wall by the front door. There is a fire place where some wood, fire lighters and matches are provided. There is a smoke alarm and fire extinguisher available. Please close the windows and lock up when you go out to avoid petty theft. Greyton is safe but there are always opportunists out there. Enjoy!

Rates
Weekend (Friday and Saturday): R1200 per night
During the week: R900 per night
Minimum 2 night stay

Guest access
The cottage is completely for you! There is an outside area on both sides that can be freely used. The back area has a place to make a fire and cook. There is a table to sit at to enjoy your meal. If you have bicycles there is a Wendy house that you can put them in. The bridge separates the cottage from the main house. Please do not cross as you will trigger an alarm.

Other things to note
The cottage is registered with a security company called APS. They make regular patrols day and night. The keys have a key ring on it which has their number. Please call them if needed including medical emergencies. They are there to help.
