The Greyton Croquet Club
We are happy to welcome visitors to our Friday afternoon and Saturday Greyton Croquet.
Times are from 2:30 on a Friday until the last game – normally just before the sun sets and same applies for Saturday afternoon. It is social, but there are a few of us take it quite seriously!
We are an affiliated Club to the Western Cape Croquet Association. Currently in a Robinson Cup Tournament, playing against 5 other Clubs in and around the Peninsula, with a match against Kelvin Grove this weekend. We have played one game and that was against Helderberg. Just lost, but the upside is that we are no bottom of the log. We are on the up and improving in leaps and bounds!
As you may well know our new field next to the Bowling Green is underway and all efforts are channelled for a completion this field early in the New Year. Very keen to grow the sport and “YES” very keen to be listed on the Greyton Tourism Website.
We appeal to young and old, man and woman. “ALL WELCOME” – so, absolutely, we are very keen to grow our membership and our long-term goal is to have six fields complete and invite the World Championships to Greyton.
We are hoping to teach our local schools how to play, which is a fantastic opportunity.
