We offer over 2000 hectares of the most beautiful valleys, mountains and forests to ride in, on our beautiful well schooled horses and ponies. Highly qualified riding teachers and guides attend to you every need. Superb accomodation in upmarket cottages or a Cape Dutch farm house. Hiking, swimming (by yourself or on horseback), school groups, weddings and family gatherings all on this beautiful farm in the Boland, only one and a half hours from Cape Town. The pony camps serve as an incredible equestrian adventure for kids and an unforgettable escape from the city! Our rates are excellent and our service personal and professional.

ACCOMMODATION
- Farm house and cottage self-catering accommodation for groups or families.
- Diadème’s historic farm house, renovated to capture the relaxed atmosphere of life on a farm. Ideal for smaller family groups. Fully equiped kitchen.
- 4 Cottage units built to similar style, layout for 3 or 4 families, couples plus kids.
- Whole venue for friends / family events, sleeps up to 30 people.
Accommodation rates vary from R80pp/night for a large group in the whole venue to R275pp/night for 2 persons in the main house.
Location: Diademe is situated on Bakenskloof farm 10min before Greyton, on your way in from the N2 on the R406 road.

Diadème main house:
A historic Genadendal house which has been renovated to a farm house style, with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views from the various veranda's and outside braai area. It consists of 2 bedrooms (1 with double bed and 1 with single beds), plus lounge, dining room area, kitchen, 1 bathroom (bath & shower).
The main house's communal kitchen and braai area is shared and serves your whole group.
Diadème cottages:
The 4 dormitory-type cottage units are newly built, rusitc yet classy and clean. Each consists of a large room (sleeping 2, 4, 6 or 8 persons) interleading into it's own shower and toilet separately. Please note: Venue is fully self-catering and no bedding is included.

The French Guest Farm / Outdoor Adventure School Diadème, is situated 130km from Cape Town (10 minutes from Greyton village), with the Riversonderend River meandering through its valley. Breathtaking views from the surrounding rolling hills, complete a picture of any person’s dream holiday.
Our holiday camp includes a wonderful mix of experiences:
from enjoying farm life to creative art activities
outdoor physical activities such as raft building, team games, cooking
leadership skills and effective communication

Our aim is to personalise the stay at Diadème Outdoor Adventure & Language centre for each student and therefore we keep our group size small.
The camp facilitators are Ashley and Zynoe Patience and Marina Rust. Ashley and Zynoe Patience (a husband and wife team) have each served in the teaching environment since 1988. They have taught in state schools, private schools and lectured and trained teachers.
They have also organised many training workshops and camps for adults and children and have a passion for working with children. Marina Rust has organised and facilitated camps at Diadème for both adults and children since 2001. All three facilitators are university graduates. (See our three CV's below for details and some background about the team).
We believe that it is important for children to have a morally sound environment where a good value system, which includes values of mutual respect, common courtesy and caring for others, is practised. Therefore we generally incorporate these values into our activities.
