The village of Greyton is an enchanting place. Walk along the rustic lanes in the shadow of towering ancient oak trees. Footbridges cross leiwater streams to lush gardens and thatched cottages.

Greyton’s shops are quirky and interesting. You can buy wonderful items for your home from retro furniture to original artworks, and spoil yourself and your family with delicious homemade delicacies. Cafes and restaurants offer shady patios, lush gardens and art filled spaces in which to wine, dine and be refreshed. Greyton’s beauty has inspired many artists to live here and you can visit them in home studios and art galleries.

The spectacular surrounding countryside showcases some of the best fynbos in the Western Cape. There are well-marked walks ranging from an easy stroll to a two or three day hike. The outdoor adventurer can also enjoy horse-riding, swimming in the river, mountain-biking and 4x4 trails.

Tennis and bowls are available in the village and there are several excellent golf courses in the vicinity, from the municipal course at Riviersonderend to the lush greens of Arabella at Kleinmond. The regular Saturday morning market should not be missed. Fresh local produce, home cooked delicacies and delightful village-made crafts are all there.

Various interest clubs abound and you are welcome to join us for bridge, yoga or line dancing! Watch this space for details of our themed short breaks when you can chill out during a wellness week, or stroll from one event to another enjoying South Africa’s finest classical music performers during our soiree weekends, or visit one of the several art galleries in Greyton.

	SOCIAL BOWLING FRIDAYS 14:00 On the second Friday of each month, play is followed with a bring ‘n braai at the club. A great way to meet new friends, enjoy some laughs and indulge in a few drinks. There are a considerable number of experienced bowlers able to offer bowling advice and the club has spare bowls so that beginners can try the game without hurting their pockets.
	BRIDGE Bridge is played throughout the village, from beginners to experienced.  Contact information for bridge players can be obtained from the Greyton Information Bureau.
