Music at the restaurants this weekend


Not only do we have a full programme of wonderful concerts for the Greyton Genadendal Classics for All festival, but our restaurants are showing terrific support by featuring a range of fabulous entertainment to accompany
their delicious food offerings.

Below is a schedule of all the artists appearing at the various restaurant venues over the weekend of 20 and 21 May.
And don’t forget – Greyton Tourism has its own Computicket facilities – so booking for the concerts of your choice has never been easier.

The man with the golden voice, CHRIS SWANEPOEL, will be performing at 1854 on Saturday evening from 19:00 and at Vanilla Café on Sunday at 13:00. Chris is an award-winning opera vocalist who won the 2001 Overall World Champion trophy in the Opera Category, Male Vocal 25 and Over. Phone for bookings: 1854 – 028 254 9639

JAMES HALL will be playing at Abbey Rose on Saturday evening during dinner. Cover charge R50 James is a brilliant classically trained violinist who extends his repertoire to embrace a wide range of genres, including celtic, roots and blue grass. Bookings: 028 254 9470

The Oak & Vigne will feature Guitarist STEVE ROBINSON during lunch time and during supper on Saturday and lunch time Sunday. Robinson was part of the NAPAC Jazz Quartet and a member of Stellenbosch Symphonic Pops. He played in numerous productions, memorably Le Miserables. For bookings contact 028 254 9037

The Old Potter’s Inn will be entertaining dinner guests with a screen performance of LA BOHèME on Saturday night, accompanied by delicious French Cuisine prepared by Chef Grant. Bookings: 028 254 9690

Pianist STAN BALIE from Genadendal will be entertaining diners at Via’s at lunch time on Saturday and Sunday. Stan is an old favourite in the village, and regularly performs at various restaurants in the village. Stan is the music teacher at Greyton Primary, and also conducts the school choir.
