Matjiesdrift is a family farm situated on the R 406 - 28 kilometers from Greyton. The fact that this haven is only an hour and a half’s drive from Cape Town, makes it an ideal weekend break-away for family, friends and guests.

The picturesque Matjiesdrift chapel was built by the current owner, as a place for family gatherings and for the making of happy memories – the La Sagrada Familia of the Overberg – if you will.

Apart from being an operational farming business, Matjiesdrift hosts happiness and good memories. Matjiesdrift is a wonderful venue for a relaxed country wedding – or memorable birthday celebration.

The chapel was built according to the Golden Ratio. Therefore this is an excellent place to start your golden relationship. This intimate venue with high wood beam ceiling and old world charm, can host up to a hundred guests.

The chapel on the hill, has a 360º view of the surrounding canola and wheat fields that are so typical of the Overberg.

A bridal room is available for the bride and her following to stay over the night before her big day.

Apart from the chapel, Matjiesdrift also offers a function venue for your wedding or birthday feast. The venue has a stone fire-place and can also accommodate a hundred feast-goers. The in-house caterer and florist will take care of your food and flower requirements.
