The Post House has recently been bought by owners, John and Janet Higginson; an absolute delight, and are so passionate about the industry and what they do. John continues to work in an architectural firm in Cape Town, but has made Greyton his home for his family. As for Janet, spent many earlier years modelling, qualified as a pastry chef and brings loads of hospitality experience to the table.

The Post House was originally constructed in 1860 and is one of Greyton’s oldest buildings. The building was used as a trading post and a place and lodgings for tired travellers. The main building which houses the restaurant and new coffee pod, also includes the pub, which is well-known for the Bells Whiskey advert and was also Greyton’s Post Office.

Our accommodation is on a Semi self catering service hotel room offering with mini kitchenettes in the rooms.
Our rooms are cleaned with Covid-19 chemicals and the hotel is very conscious of all our touch points that they are sterilized constantly. Our staff are trained and equipped in order to give our guests a pleasant and safe stay.

Our Honeymoon Suite has been tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. This is a luxurious spacious room with a lounge. The perfect suite for newly weds or couples wanting a romantic evening away – a space to indulge. This suite has a large copper rimmed spa bath, a “his” and “hers” double shower and vanity station with a cosy lounge with a fireplace. Enjoy your freshly brewed coffee with your Nespresso machine or enjoy a glass of bubbles on the patio overlooking our garden.
